Mastering Studio
in Frome

Looking for mastering in Frome? Frome is a tiny town with a huge songwriter density — the Cheese & Grain, Frome Independent, the Merlin and the folk-adjacent labels around town keep pushing out records that punch above their weight. We work with a lot of BA11 artists and producers.

Mastering for Frome artists

Every master leaves our room checked against loudness targets for Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and broadcast — plus a vinyl-safe cut with proper attention to the low end, sibilance and side-length. We work on stereo bounces or stems, with one attended day available at the studio for artists and labels who want to sit in.

Ties to Cheese & Grain, Merlin Theatre, Frome Festival and the wider Somerset folk/roots circuit.

We're 45 minutes from our Bristol control room — most Frome projects run as a mix of in-person days at the studio and remote revisions, whichever fits your schedule.

FAQ

How long does mastering take?

Singles typically turn around in 3–5 working days, EPs and albums in 7–10. Two revisions included as standard.

Stems or stereo?

Both. Stereo mastering keeps your mix engineer's decisions intact; stem mastering gives us more room to fix specific issues.

Can you cut a vinyl master?

Yes — we deliver a DMM/lacquer-ready vinyl pre-master alongside the streaming version, with a technical note for the cutting house.

Do you travel to Frome?

For attended sessions we usually host you in Bristol — it's 45 minutes — but on-location tracking, foley recces and rehearsal-room production days in Frome are all things we do when the project calls for it.
